One practical (20% weighting) is scheduled. The practicals require preparation, participation and individual reporting. Teamwork and written and graphical communication skills will be emphasised. Safety is a very important consideration during practicals. Please see JCU Workplace Health and Safety Policies and at http://www.jcu.edu.au/engps/information/current/safety/index.htm. Appropriate footwear must be worn in laboratories. NO COVERED FOOTWEAR – NO LABORATORY. Practical reports (electronic copy) will be submitted in LearnJCU by the due date. Written and graphical communication skills will be emphasised.

One restricted-book quiz (20% weighting) is scheduled in Week 5. You are allowed to bring one-page A4 paper (both sides) equation sheet. Although correct answers are important, clear communication of what you did and how you did it is equally important.
