In this subject, students will develop knowledge of research and evaluation principles and methods of relevance to the evidence based practice of psychologists. Students will gain valuable experience with the conduct of research and evaluation in the context of professional practice as they learn to critically evaluate and apply the evidence base to inform culturally responsive practice. Students will explore a range of scientific methods commonly used in professional practice and critically appraise current research enabling them to seamlessly integrate principles of best practice into treatment plans and outcome monitoring.
