This subject challenges conventional views of international politics and power to explore alternative conceptions of order and centre non-western ideas. In this subject, you will engage with a range of critical approaches to understanding concepts of identity, the state, order, authority, security, and agent-driven change. These ideas will be used to revisit historical cases, analyse contemporary configurations of power, and consider the future of the liberal international rules-based order.
