Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this subject, graduates will be able to:
1.
Describe the scope of practice of a pharmacist in the management of selected patient presentations within the clinical and professional scope, and relevant legislative frameworks
2.
Relate knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology to the signs and symptoms to identify differential/provisional diagnosis, and potential risks of untreated disease
3.
Apply an approved clinical pathway to the management of patient presentations within the practice scope of the pharmacist in conjunction with the patient and/or carer, including treatment, documentation, follow-up and referral pathways
4.
Demonstrate history and examination skills and order relevant pathology, testing, and evaluate findings to formulate a diagnosis
