In this subject students will apply their personal philosophy of midwifery in the provision of comprehensive woman centred care. The subject will have a particular emphasis on maternity care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families, and rural and remote midwifery practice. Extended clinical experience will enable students to consolidate clinical skills and integrate theoretical knowledge essential to practice as a graduate midwife.
