Upon completion of this subject, graduates will be able to:
1.
Identify and apply strategies for differentiating teaching to meet the specific learning needs of diverse students
2.
Identify strategies, including verbal and non-verbal communication strategies, for organising classroom activities and providing clear directions to foster safe, supportive and engaging learning environments, and manage challenging behaviour
3.
Plan an effective learning and teaching sequence that includes a range of effective teaching and assessment strategies, using knowledge of student learning, content and the purpose of providing timely and appropriate feedback to students
4.
Evaluate student learning and teaching programs by seeking and applying constructive feedback from supervisors and teachers, and interpreting student data to improve teaching practices
5.
Reflect on teacher well-being, resilience and key principles described in the code of ethics
