Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this subject, graduates will be able to:
1.
Apply knowledge of the concepts, substance and structure of the content and teaching strategies of the Early Years Learning Framework, the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and the F-3 Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education
2.
Use curriculum, pedagogy and assessment knowledge to design an effective learning sequence for young children
3.
Design lesson plans that include a range of resources and teaching strategies (including those for the teaching of literacy and numeracy) that engage diverse learners in Health and Physical Education in the early years
4.
Identify strategies that support inclusive student participation and engagement in Health and Physical Education, guided by social justice principles of diversity and equity
