This course is designated as an exit award only and is not eligible for direct admission. It is conferred solely upon students who meet the entry requirements for early exit from a higher award.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:
1.
Integrate and apply theoretical and technical knowledge and skills, with some depth in underlying principles, in a health-based discipline
2.
Identify and analyse information, concepts and evidence from a range of sources
3.
Communicate ideas, arguments, and perspectives clearly through well-developed English language and numeracy proficiency, in written and oral formats
4.
Plan solutions to theoretical and practice-based problems by applying initiative, and judgment
5.
Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for own learning in collaboration with others
6.
Identify culturally safe, ethical, legal, and professional behaviours.

48 credit points of appropriate subjects successfully completed in Levels 1 - 2 of the:

Bachelor of Dental Surgery

or

Bachelor of Medicine – Bachelor of Surgery

or

Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)

Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Honours)

or

Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (Honours)

or

Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours)

or

Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences

or

Bachelor of Nursing Science

or

Bachelor of Nursing Science – Bachelor of Midwifery

or

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours)

Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Bachelor of Psychological Science

Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours)

Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science

Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science - Bachelor of Psychological Science

Credit

Students may apply for a credit transfer for previous tertiary study or informal and non-formal learning in accordance with the Credit Transfer Procedure.
